Make your first offer

An offer shows tiers on a product page, like "Buy 2, save 10%". The buyer picks a tier above Add to cart, and the checkout takes the saving off. Five steps make the first one live.

1. On the Offers page, check "App embed in your theme". If it says Off, press "Turn on the app embed" and save in the theme editor. Nothing shows on your store before that.
2. Press "New offer". Write what the offer should do in your own words, in any language, like "Buy 2 ski wax and save 10%, buy 3 and save 15%", and press "Make the offer": the app makes a draft with those tiers on that product, and says what it could not follow. Or pick the example that is closest to what you want. Each example is drawn with one of your own products and prices, with a heading and, under a tier of several items, the price of one item. You can change or empty them.
3. Choose the product (or a collection) in "Show it on". Change the tiers: the quantity, the discount and the name of each.
4. Check the preview on the right. It shows what the buyer sees, at your prices. For an offer on a collection or on all products, press "Preview another product" to see it on a different one. If your store sells in other countries, "Show prices for" shows the prices and the currency a buyer there sees. A tier with an amount you typed has no price there, because Shopify converts it when the buyer pays. For a live offer on one product, "View in your store" opens that product page.
5. Press Publish. Open the product page on your store to see the offer.

If Publish says something is missing, it names the field. If the offer is live and does not show, read "Why does my offer not show?".
