Where the offer shows on the page
By default an offer shows on the page of its product, above Add to cart, on any Online Store 2.0 theme. It is checked on Horizon and Dawn.
To choose another place, add the app's block to the product page in the theme editor and save.
"Buy it now" buys what the offer shows. It is hidden only when the buyer picks units of different variants.
Each unit of the chosen tier has its own list of variants, up to the tier's own quantity, with each variant's picture, unless you turned pictures off on the Design page, or turned off "Let buyers pick a variant for each item" on the offer, where every item is the variant chosen on the page. A sold-out variant shows crossed out and cannot be chosen.
The discount applies to any cart that qualifies, however the items got there. The cart and the checkout show the discount by the name of the tier, and the free item of "Buy 2, get 1 free" on its own line.
