Other discounts with your offers
Your offers are one discount in Shopify. On the Settings page you choose which of your other discounts a buyer can get with them in one cart: product discounts, like 20% off a collection, order discounts, like a code for 10% off the order, and shipping discounts, like free shipping over $50. Press Save when you change them.
A buyer gets both only when both discounts allow it: Shopify asks each one. So under the boxes, the Settings page lists every discount of yours that is on or about to start, and says whether it combines with your offers. When one does not, it says why, and what to change:
- "You switched off order discounts above": tick that box on the Settings page, and press Save.
- "It does not allow product discounts": open that discount in Discounts and tick Product discounts under Combinations. For a discount from another app, change it in that app.
- "Your offers give free shipping too": while an offer has a tier with free shipping, your offers are a shipping discount as well, so the other discount must allow shipping discounts too.
When two discounts do not combine, a cart that could take both gets the one that saves the buyer more.
One item never gets two product discounts. A sale on a collection and your offer can be in one cart, each on its own items.
The boxes start ticked. Whether a buyer gets both is then up to your other discount's own settings, which Shopify starts with none ticked.
